Mindful Parenting: Excerpts from the Heart of a Mom

Here's a quick read for anyone trying to be more of a conscious parents: Excerpts from the Heart of a Mom. This book, written by Jennifer Laurent, is a series of snippets of insights she has discovered as a mother. Her website, Live Through the Heart, is devoted to the ideas of parenting mindfully as well.

The book is short, but powerful. Each chapter focuses on a different insight. If you're a very experienced parent, you might find that she "discovered" things you already knew, or you might learn to look at your kids a little bit differently. For new parents, it's a great preview of what's to come, and a good early reminder to treasure moments.

You can download a sample chapter to get a taste of the book, which I highly recommend doing. You can also receive inspiration when you "Like" Live Through the Heart or follow @_jennlaurent.
