Environmental Events: IFAW Animal Education Program
The International Fund for Animal Welfare has an annual animal education program; this year, it focuses on elephants and the ivory trade. They've teamed up with Leonardo DiCaprio to help educate the public on the impact of the ivory trade - particularly with how widespread poaching is, and the fact that elephants have to die in order to get the ivory tusks. If you're a teacher or parent who wants to learn more or teach your students or kids, you can click here for educational materials.
