Mindful Parenting: Speaking Skills
It's important to instill good speaking skills in kids, but it can be hard when they see so many examples of poor speech - and when we don't always have perfect speech either. One thing you can do is record a conversation - a mock interview, or just a conversation about the day. Then, play it back, and see who uses more "filler" words (um, like, uh), or who has more examples of poor grammar. Make it a competition between you and your teen or tween, and it can be a fun way to increase grammar skills.
