Caring Causes: Allie Smiles/2nd Chance 4 Pets

The Allie Smiles Foundation's newest partner in our Focused Giving Campaign is 2nd Chance 4 Pets, a wonderful grass-roots NFP who rescues pets who have outlived their owners. 500 thousand + pets are are euthanized every year, because their human caregivers did not make arrangements for the continuous care of their beloved pets.

 

The shelter in Florida said that Lou Lou could not be adopted to the public because she was 'old and scared'. 2nd Chancd 4 Pets thought she deserved a second chance. One week in boarding, good food, 1600 miles, visits with veterinarians, meds for her ears and tummy, "LouLou" is now on her way to experiencing what love is. She will not have to sleep outside on a hard surface as she has her entire life (apparent from pressure sores on her hips).

 

They are raising $1000 for the cost of Lou-Lou's medication and fence for her new dog run in her forever home.
