Upcycled Projects: Can Lights
It's easy to create beautiful candle lanterns from old aluminum cans. Wash the can, removing the label, then fill with water and freeze. Then take a piece of paper and create a pattern or design using dots (leave space between the dots). When the water is frozen, tape the paper to the can. Work quickly, because the can will condense. Use a hammer to nail through the paper and the can (the ice keeps it from bending). Paint the can with non-toxic paint, let dry, and place a candle inside!
